Introduction

We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic Head of Finance to lead the financial operations and drive long-term growth. This is a senior leadership role requiring a visionary finance professional who can align financial strategies with business objectives and ensure the company’s financial health and sustainability.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth

· Drive month end close and financial reporting

· Lead financial reporting including management accounts and annual financial statements including variance analysis

· Ensure compliance with IFRS for SME’s and other statutory requirements, including VAT, PAYE and Income Tax

· Review monthly reconciliations, resolve discrepancies proactively

· Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate processing, reviews and strong controls

· Assist with the coordination of the budgeting processes, including identification and establishment of deviations

·  Analysis of financial tendencies and trends

·  Preparation of monthly forecasts and reporting thereof

·  Management of quarterly forecasts

·  Preparation of audit packs with the finance team on internal and external audits

· Partner with stakeholders to resolve queries and improve efficiency

·  Collaborate with the finance team on system development initiatives

Desired Experience and Qualifications

· Chartered Accountant CA(SA) qualification required

·  At least five years of team management experience in a finance leadership role

·  Strong technical accounting foundation

·  Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

·  Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills and ERP/accounting systems experience

·  High attention to detail

·  Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a focus on collaboration and trust

·  Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
